Spills and accidents happen, so prevent stains with proper care.
Soft Surface Stains
When untimely spills or accidents occur on your luxurious carpet, always treat them as quickly as you can with warm water. Your goal is to prevent a permanent stain from forming and moisture absorption into the carpet. Use a spoon to gently remove any solid material from the carpet, starting from the outside of the spill and working back to the center. Blot the liquid stain with paper towels or a white towel, using warm water to remove the stain. If warm water does not remove the stain, consult your manufacturer’s guidelines to find a gentle carpet cleaner that is approved for your specific carpet style and fiber.
Hard Surface Stains
If a spill occurs on your hard surface floor and you need to prevent a stain from forming, avoid using any harsh cleaners and only use a cleaner designed for your specific flooring material. Wipe up spills as soon as you can with a clean cloth and use a pH-neutral cleaner to remove dried spills. Try your gentle cleaning product in an inconspicuous area before using it to clean stains in more visible sections. Do not use steam cleaners, a vacuum, brushes, steel wool, or ammonia cleaners: Use a soft nylon brush, a manufacturer-approved cleaner, and water to treat stains. Completely dry the floor afterward with a clean cloth.
